Ahmed Farid
Dr. Ahmed Farid is an Egyptian actor, visual artist, and Doctor of Philosophy of Art. He is a former professor of the Fine Arts and Media Management Department at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport and has served as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations.

​Farid began his career in the visual arts in 1991, as he represented Egypt in Switzerland in an international exhibition for children and won the Merit Award. Farid's acting career started in 2010 when he became a TV announcer for programs on the Nile Cinema channel that complemented his visual arts career. He hosted interviews with international celebrities, including Keanu Reeves, Eva Mendez, John Malkovich, and some of the most prominent international directors, including Francis Ford Coppola.

Farid has held exhibitions in multiple high-profile galleries, including the Picasso Hall in Zamalek, Egypt, Nile Gallery of Cairo, Al Kahila Art Gallery, Plaxe Saint-Denis, Brussels, Belgium, and many more International galleries.

In 2021, The Houston Museum of Natural History and Science invited Farid to collaborate on a documentary film. This honorable opportunity has uniquely positioned Farid as an Ambassador of Contemporary Egyptian Artists. In this documentary, Farid shows art lovers in the USA a window to the Egyptian Contemporary Art scene and reveals a beautiful facet of Egypt.
